Mrs. Hilsabeck to be Buried Saturday

Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie E. Hilsabeck, former resident of Marshall County who died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. R. Renner, at Madison, South Dakota, will be held at 1:30 p. m. Saturday at the Estel Funeral Home here in charge of Rev. Mr. Williams of Gladbrook. Burial will be in Riverside. The body was due to arrive in this city at midnight Friday, accompanied by Mrs. Renner.
Mrs. Hilsabeck was born Carrie E. Williams June 25, 1849 in West Moreland County, Pennsylvania. In 1851 the family came to Whiteside County, Illinois and a few years later moved to Iowa, near Davenport, coming to Marshall County in 1863. She was married to David I. Hilsabeck and they lived west of Gilman for many years. Mr. Hilsabeck died March 16, 1916 and for the last several years she had been making her home with Mrs. Renner.
Besides the daughter, she is survived by two sons, Harvey L. Hilsabeck of Green Mountain and Alfred R. Hilsabeck of Glasco, Kansas, and 13 grandchildren. Another daughter, Mrs. S. J. McClain, died December 4, 1922.
