Mrs. Mary Hilsabeck, Near Ferguson, Dies

Mrs. Mary Hilsabeck, 88, a mile southwest of Ferguson, died at her home Monday evening following an illness of 18 months. She had been bedfast only since last Thursday. Death was due to infirmities of age and complications.
Mrs. Hilsabeck was born in Middletown, Indiana, January 15, 1847, the oldest daughter of Adam and Elizabeth Fiscus. She was married to Martin Hilsabeck of Ferguson, February 22, 1866, at Middletown. They came to Ferguson after their marriage and had since made their home there.
Mr. Hilsabeck died June 17, 1915. Three daughters, Floy, Elizabeth and Sarah, also preceded Mrs. Hilsabeck in death.
Surviving are four sons, Willard Hilsabeck, Pembine, Wisconsin; Nelson Hilsabeck, Ferguson, and Frank and Delbert Hilsabeck, Liscomb, and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Hilsabeck and Mrs. Fanny Kaufmann, Manning. Thirty-seven grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 o’clock Thursday morning at the Estel Funeral Home in charge of Rev. Herman A. Crawford, pastor of the Christian Church at Ferguson. Burial will be in the Timber Creek Cemetery.
