WILKEY ARNEY DEAD

---Life-Long Resident of Near Albion Passes Away---

Wilkey W. Arney, 53, a life-long resident of the Albion neighborhood, died at his home a half mile north and a miles west of Albion at 1 o’clock this afternoon. Mr. Arney had been in poor health for more than a year, but it has only been in recent weeks that his condition became serious. Death was caused by disease of the stomach and complications. Mr. Arney was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Arney, one of the pioneer Arney couples, that settled in the neighborhood northwest of Albion in a very early day. He was born and reared on the farm where he died, which was his father’s homestead. Mrs. Arney and three daughters survive him. The latter are Mrs. R. M. Sheeley, 610 West Nevada street, city; Mrs. Dean Johnson, Liscomb, and Miss Thelma Arney, who lives at home.
