HUGH MILLER DEAD

---Former Farmer of Northern Part of County Dies Here---

Hugh Allen Miller, for many years a farmer near Albion, who more recently had lived in this city, died at 3 o’clock this morning of paralysis at his home, 708 East Main street. He had been sick six years but had been bedfast only five weeks. Mr. Miller, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George S. Miller, was born in Knox county, Ohio, Jan. 10, 1855. He was united in marriage with Miss Bertha E. Bosteter, near Albion, Jan. 10, 1884. To this union three children were born, a daughter, Mae, being the only surviving child. Mrs. Miller died in 1903 near Virgil, S. D., and Dec. 10, 1912, Mr. Miller was united in marriage with Mrs. Helena Miller. They lived near Bethel Grove until a year ago when they came to this city. Besides the widow and daughter, his aged mother, Mrs. Nancy A. Miller, living at Wilsey, Kan.; two brothers and three sisters survive. The latter are J. F. Miller, Liscomb; Mrs. C. E. Arney, Albion; Mrs. E. L. Porter, Council Grove, Kan.; and Mrs. Clark Shearer and George L. Miller, Wilsey, Kan. Mr. Miller was a member of the Church of Christ, Bethel Grove. The funeral will be held at the Bethel church at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon in charge of Rev. H. L. Lewis. Prayer service will be held at the home at 12:45. Burial will be in the Bethel cemetery.
