Dorothy D. Yantis, 75

Services for Dorothy D. Yantis, 75, of 2847 270th St., who died Thursday morning, March 30, at Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from the Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Sebeniecher officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Born July 18, 1913 in Liscomb, she was the daughter of Lowel and Hazel Barber Bixby. She received her education in the Liscomb and Marshalltown schools. On March 3, 1935 she was married to Ira Dean Yantis in Liscomb. They mad their home near Liscomb, in Ferguson and later south of Marshalltown. Mrs. Yantis was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and a former member of the Liscomb Church of Christ. Preceding her in death was a brother. Surviving is her husband, Dean, two daughters, Margaret (Mrs. Irvin) Harre and Barbara (Mrs. Fred) Gould, both of Marshalltown, six grandchildren, several great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. A memorial fund has been established. Friends may call at the Estel-Perrin-Avey Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Friday. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
