Barbara D. (Mrs. Fred) Gould, 51, of 2849 270th St., died Wednesday, May 16 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines of a heart attack. Memorial services will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. At the Estel-Perrin-Avey Funeral Home with the Rev. Timothy Murtaugh, pastor of Central Christian Church, officiating. There will be no visitation as the body has been cremated. A private family burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be given to either the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Born Sept. 6, 1938 at Liscomb, she was the daughter of Dean and Dorothy Bixby Yantis. She received her education in the Ferguson schools, graduating in 1955. On Oct. 16, 1955 in Ferguson, she was married to Fred B. Gould. The couple lived in California until 1957 when they returned to the Ferguson area where they have since made their home. She was employed at the Donnelley Marketing Company in Nevada for a number of years. Surviving are her husband, Fred Gould, three sons, William Gould of Seattle, Wash., Robert W. Gould of LeGrand, and Brian P. Gould of Marshalltown, four granddaughters, her father, Dean Yantis of Marshalltown, and a sister, Margaret (Mrs. Ervin) Harre of Marshalltown.
