Mrs. Bueghly, Liscomb, Dies; Rites Saturday

LISCOMB -- (Special) -- Robert Black was notified Wednesday of the death of his foster mother, Mrs. Sarah C. Bueghly, at 8 a.m. at the hospital of the IOOF Home in Mason City, where she had been eight years. SERVICES WILL be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Liscomb Church of Christ with members of Grumme Rebekah Lodge attending in a group. Friends may call at Biersborn's in Union. She was born in Liscomb Township Dec. 20, 1865, and was the last survivor of 10 children of Timothy and Catherine Hauser Weatherly, Liscomb pioneers. She was an honorary member of the Jennings Scholars. ON JUNE 22, 1882, she married Ephraim D. Bueghly, farmer southwest of Liscomb. He died in 1900 and she moved to Liscomb in 1904. Noted especially for her hospitality, she was the first Republican precinct committeewoman here, a charter member of the Woman's Club and active in community affairs. She and Mr. Bueghly had no children. Another foster son, Frank Black, preceded her in death.
