THOS. M. TRIPLETT ANSWERS SUMMONS

Death Brings Relief After Five Weeks of Sickness and Suffering

Thomas M. Triplett, a well known resident of this place and one of the pioneer settlers in the county, died at his home at about 9:30 Sunday evening after an illness of five weeks resulting from blood poisoning.

Mr. Triplett was born in Bureau county, Illinois, December 12, 1836. He was united in marriage to Miss Charlotte A. Mead June 20, 1863. In 1867 they came to Marshall county and settled on a farm five miles east of this place, where they remained until Mrs. Triplett's death in 1895. Mr. Triplett then retired and moved to town.

Nine children were born to the couple, three of whom are dead. The living are Mrs. Nate Brown, Mrs. S.O. Crawford, Mrs. George Dannen, Mrs. H.F. Keeler, and Jack Triplett, all living in or near this place, and Thos. Triplett, Jr., of Clinton. Mr. Triplett also is survived by three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were conducted at the home Tuesday afternoon and interment followed in the Dunkard cemetery.
