Mary Hope Hackett

Services will be held at a later date for Mary Hope Hackett, 84, Salisbury, who died Saturday (Sept. 23, 2000) at Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks after a period of declining health.

Born Feb. 12, 1916, in St. Antony, Iowa, Miss Hackett was a daughter of the late Hugh Thomas and Minnie Boger Hackett. She was a graduate of Liscomb High School and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Iowa. Retired, she was an anesthetist for Mercy Hospital, Marshalltown, Iowa.

She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and belonged to several groups with Spencer Presbyterian Church, Spencer.

A sister is among her survivors.

Services: A memorial mass of resurrection will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at a later date. Burial at Union Lutheran Church cemetery.

Lyerly Funeral Home is in charge.
