RICHARD REUTZEL, MARSHALLTOWN

Richard P. Reutzel, 75, of Marshalltown died Feb. 3, 2008, at the Villa del Sol.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated Thursday, Feb. 7, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marshalltown with Fr. Jim Miller officiating. Burial was at Harrison Township Cemetery in Swea City.

Richard Reutzel was born Oct. 9, 1932, in Swea City to Henry John and Anna (Mathias) Reutzel and was a graduate of Seneca Schools. On Oct. 21, 1953, he was united in marriage to Beverly Grant in Fairmont, Minn. They made their home in Truman, Minn., Marshalltown and Northwood. Richard was employed by the city of Marshalltown Water Department and the meat department of Fareway Stores.

He is survived by three children — David Reutzel (Winterset), Daniel Reutzel and Darci Reutzel; his siblings — Ervin, Robert, Harvey and Darrell Reutzel, Lorraine Szuberski and Darlene Singer; and five grandchildren.
