Lawerence Nason Dies at Age 72, Rites Monday

Lawerence E. Nason, 72, 405 Edgeland Drive, died Friday at Community Hospital West following a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Pursel Davis Chapel with the Rev. Curt Anderson in charge. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Born March 17, 1903, near Van Cleve, he was the son of Laru and Jennie Kiser Nason. He attended school at Van Cleve and later farmed 29 years in that area. He was a retiree from Fisher Controls Co.
He was married to Myrtle Petermeier Sept. 29, 1926, at Webster City.
She survives as do a daughter, Mrs. Loren (Sharon) Vogt, Melbourne, two grandchildren Noel and Holly Vogt, and one brother, Laru Vogt, Marshalltown. A sister preceded him in death.
Mr. Nason was a member of the First Congregational Church and of the Evening Lions Club. He was a 50 year member of the Full Moon Lodge No. 561, AF&AM, at Melbourne.
