Mrs. Hinegardner, Well Known in Montour, Dies

Mrs. Arlo Hinegardner, 65, died at her Montour home Saturday, Dec. 16,1978, after two years of failing health.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at the Montour United Methodist Church, with Rev. Harland T. Gant, pastor, and Paul Schmidtbleicher officiating. Mrs. Leonard Scheid Jr. was the organist and accompanied Mrs. Charles Kothenbeautel, vocalist, as she sang "How Great Thou Art". Floral tributes were cared for by Mrs. Clyde Davis and Mrs. Gordon Downs.
Pall bearers were Bradley Deutsch, Wayne Saak, Terry Hauserman, Brad Klauenberg, Carey Petermeier, and David Pyle. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo, in charge of Henderson Funeral Home, Toledo. Visitation was at the funeral home until 9 a.m. Tuesday.
As Caroline Petermeier, she was born near Melbourne on Oct.13, 1913, daughter of August and Mathilda Gauch Petermeier. She graduated from Melbourne High School and was married to Arlo Hinegardner on Sept. 6, 1934, in the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple resided in Montour area after their marriage, where they farmed and operated Sportsman's Lake, the North Star Fish Hatchery and the North Star Gameland.
She is survived by her husband, one son, Larry Hinegardner, Montour, two daughters, Donna Hinegardner, Montour and Karen (Mrs. Richard) Deutsch, of Baxter and five grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Raymond and Harvey Petermeier of Melbourne and two sisters, Mrs. Irene Dryer of Alden and Mrs. Myrtle Nason of Marshalltown.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Harry.
