Warren Mersman, 87 of Marshalltown, entered into eternal life Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Villa del Sol. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Pursel Davis Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Condolences may also be sent to Warren’s family at www.vogelfuneralhomes.com. The Pursel Davis Funeral Homes is caring for Warren and his family.
Warren was born February 4, 1921 in New Providence, the son of Henry and Ida (Lehman) Mersman. Warren grew up in the New Providence and Colo areas graduating from Colo High School.
Warren enjoyed farming with his neighbors in McCallsburg and raised livestock until retiring at the age of 65. He loved to fish, and would play checkers with anyone that was willing to be his opponent. He was also a regular bingo winner at Villa del Sol where he resided.
He will be missed by his one sister, Virgina Jefferson of Marshalltown, many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. In eternal life, Warren joins his parents Henry and Ida; brothers Floyd, Roy and Merle Mersman.
