Mrs. Margaret Bowles, for fifty years a resident of the county, died in her home five miles east of the city Monday eveningat 8 o'clock of pneumonia,aged 84 years. Mrs Bowles came to Marshall County in 1849 with her husband, Alexander Bowles, who died four years ago, settled on a homestead just east of town. Her six children who survive are James of Beaman, John of Washington state, Joe of Idaho, Jackson of Pipestone, Minn.; Mrs. Lott Mills of Rockton, and Mrs. Rebecca Sipes of Colorado. The funeral will be held at 11 o'clock tomorrow at the Dunkard Church conducted by Rev. Frank Wheeler and the interment will be in the Dunkard Cemetery.
