Duane W. Humburg, 60 of Union Grove Lake, rural Gladbrook died unexpectedly Friday, January 11, 2008 at his home. A private graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at the Hillside Cemetery, Sheffield, IA. Cremation rites have preceded the service and no public visitation is planned. Born on May 17, 1947 in Hampton, IA, Duane was the son of Rolland and Fern (Scheel) Humburg. He was a 1966 graduate of the Hampton High School. In 1967, he moved to Marshalltown where he was employed at Fisher Controls until his retirement in 2003.
Survivors include his brother, Daryl (Verna) Humburg of Hampton and his twin sister, Diane (Wayne) Kreimeyer of Marshalltown and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
