In my previous answer, I cited the 1900 and 1910 censuses as the record:
1900 Census: Harriman, Roane, Tennessee; T623; Roll 1593; Page: 14A; Enumeration District: 0125;
1910 Census: Brookfield Ward 3, Linn, Missouri; T624; Roll 795; Page: 13A; Enumeration District: 0071;
The question in the census was how many children a mother had given birth to and how many of those children were living at the time of the census taker's visit. Clara was consistent in reporting in both 1900 and 1910 that she had borne three children and that only one was living in 1900 and in 1910. That indicates that another child was born and died young or was stillborn. That early, there would probably be no official birth registration.
To locate possible graves for these two children, you might look at cemeteries in the localities they lived. I would suggest that Hannibal, Missouri is the most likely to locate a grave for Ethel since she was at least one year old when she died and that is where the family lived in 1880. The other baby probably was born not long after 1880 since Charles and Clara Colston were married in 1875 and George Frank Colston was born in 1877 and Ethel in 1879. Does someone have a family bible? There may also be baptismal records and burial records in a local church, again probably in Hannibal.
You posted this query on the Marion County, Iowa query board. What is the connection of this family to Marion County, Iowa? Charles Colston was from Canada; Clara and he were married in Knox County, Illinois, lived in Missouri and Tennessee and died in California. What family was in Marion County, Iowa?
