Devil's Cavern

I would like to know the origins of the Vries and Henry families in Swan and vicinity. Also was there ever a location in the Redrock area known as Devil's Cavern? Both families homesteaded the area of NW Marion County in the late 1840's. I have a ca. 1845 o/c painting titled Devil's Cavern that was once owned by a Mame Vries, originally a Henry. It shows five Indians with a boat camping around a fire set in a large cavern.
