My mother acquired genealogy from the family bible, which is in my posession which lists:
Henry /Goering/ born: 13 Apr 1808, Saxony, Germany. Died: 19 Nov 1874, Dallas, Marion, Iowa. In my notes I have the following: INFORMATION provided to date is from Goering Family Bible (of Grandson Charles Henry Goering) in possession of Patricia (Player) Richley.
DEATH: Unable to provide death certificate since the state of Iwoa records didn't begin until 1880.
DEATH: 28 Nov 1999 Orlando Public Library:
Dallas Cemetery, Dallas Marion County, Iowa
Row 4 North (3rd Row @ N end only)
plot 7 - Goering, Nancy Jane 1855-1939; Ferdinand 1851-1940.
plot 8 - Goering, Henry 1875-19__Could this last gentleman be Charles Henry Goering, born 10 Sep 1876, Dallas Marion County, Iowa? This would be my mother's mother's father. Ferd and Nancy Jane (Swanker) Goering were his parents from family bible entries, and personal knowledge of my grandmother of her grandparents. - Charles Henry Goering was said by his only daughter, Frances Irene (Goering) Froman McDonnell to have been buried in the Graceland Cemetery, though no listing could be found for him. Maybe she confused the cemetery name with the one for her other grandparents, the Phillips? I remember Grandma writing about going to her Phillips grandparents' house.
DEATH: Row 5B West of Row 5 again
plot 2 Goering, Henry, hus of Dory 19 Nov 1874
plot 3 Goering Frederick 5 Feb 1844-19 April 1895
the exact location of the graves of Patricia (Player) Richley's maternal great-great grandparents! WOW!Check US Federal Census Records. 1870 Henry and Dorah would be 62 and 60 respectively.

HIS WIFE:

NAME: also said to have been named Katz. Was this from a previous marriage, or was Maeschen anglesized to Katz on arrival in America?
Their SON: was Ferd /Goering/ born: 12 Apr 1851 Dallas, Marion, Iowa. Died: 8 Jan 1940, Melcher, Marion, Iowa. Myy notes include: BIRTH: State records available only after 1880 too late for birth of Ferd.
