details of gg grandfathers death

My gg grandfather, James Wise is buried in the Eureka Cemetary, near Harvey,Ia. having died in Sept, 1856. I have never been able to find out any circumstance's of his death. He was young, in his late 30's and I wonder if there is any way of finding any information? A news paper obituary or article or records of some kind? Can any one suggest something or shed some light? I have searched many sources but find nothing.
