I don't find your Agan family in the 1920 or 1930 census in any state. I did find a record for Esther M. Scott, born 9 July 1917 and died 25 March 2000, in the Social Security Death Index. She applied for her card in NY before 1951. If this is your grandmother, you might try writing for her social security card application unless you already know the information it would provide (e.g., mother's maiden name). If you haven't already done so, you could also try to get their marriage record and death records for both Esther and Hubert. I'll watch for them in Marion County. Otherwise, all I can say is good luck!
