KLOSTER, COOPER, DENNY

Kathaleen Kloster was born on Dec. 12, 1947, in Alamosa, Colo. to Glenard and Mary (Cooper) Denny.

As a girl her family lived in Colo., N.M. and Ore. She graduated from Marion High School in Ore. and then attended Conquerors Bible College in Portland, Ore., graduating in three years. She worked at the United Pentecostal Church International Headquarters in the Foreign Missions Department in St. Louis for several years. She then moved to El Sobrante, Calif.

On May 24, 1980, she married Karl Kloster in El Sobrante, Calif. The couple has always made their home in Knoxville. Kathy worked at the V.A. Hospital in Knoxville for ten years. She and Karl adopted two sons and provided a loving home to many foster children through the years.

She was a faithful member of the Apostolic Church of Knoxville serving as Women's Ministry Leader, Sunday School Teacher and a mentor to many.
Kathy passed away on July 22, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines at the age of 57.

She was preceded in death by her mother and a sister, Mary Jean Huffman.

Survivors include her husband, Karl; two sons, Darrell and Tom; step-son, Karl E., all of Knoxville; father and step-mother, Glenard and Lavonne Denny of Canby, Ore., 3 brothers, Lee Denny (Chris) of Vancouver, Wash., Richard Denny (Coral) of St. Louis, Mo. and Mickey Denny (Elaine) of Sequim, Wash., sister, Priscilla Thompson (Tim) of Arlington, Wash.; brother-in-law, Phil Huffman of Canby, Ore., foster-daughter, Holly Pearson; foster-son, Ed Spangenburg (Darcy); three foster-grandchildren and many other foster children and their families.

Funeral Services were held on July 27, at the Apostolic Church with Rev. Charles Rutter, Rev. Richard Denny and Rev. Corwin Fee officiating.
Interment was at Graceland Cemetery.

Memorial may be made to the Mother's Memorial Fund at the Apostolic Church.
