Robert Dan Crosby, 60, of Knoxville died Wednesday at Knoxville Area Community Hospital after being crushed at his home when a car fell on him. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Evans-McCleery Funeral Home. A graveside service and burial of the cremains will follow at Gosport Cemetery in Marion County.
Mr. Crosby was born in Tracy and lived in Knoxville 13 years. He retired from Rolscreen Co., was a Navy veteran and had been a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Alice; five sons, Craig of Oskaloosa, Jeff of Victor, Brad of New Sharon, Pat of Pershing and Dan of St Petersburg, Fla.; three stepsons, Gary Goodnight of Palm Bay, Fla., Terry Goodnight of Chugiak, Alaska, and Brian Goodnight of Knoxville; three daughters, Laurie Van Alst and Valerie Hume, both of Oskaloosa, and Pamela Hegelman of St Petersburg; a step-daughter, Laura Goodnight of Champaign, Ill.; a brother, Wilbur of Fremont; three sisters, Margaret Reay of Annandale, Minn., Laura Knowles of Knoxville and Dorothy Poor of St. Louis; 12 grandchildren; and eight step-grandchildren.
