W. Harvey Dies At 87

Wade Chester Harvey, 87, longtime farmer in Round Prairie Township near Glasgow, died at his home Wednesday evening following a lengthy illness.

Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Raymond Funeral H0me with the Rev. Ron Vander Hart officiating. Burial will be in Breckenridge Cemetery west of Harvey at 12:45 p.m.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m.

Wade Chester Harvey was born Jan. 28, 1891, at Harvey. He was the son of Andrew Lincoln and Flora Goodspeed Harvey.

His marriage to Welthie Pearson took place Nov. 12, 1924, in Des Moines. They farmed near Harvey until moving to the Glasgow Community in 1937. He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Harvey.

In addition to his widow he is survived by three sons, Wendell, Monrovia, Cali.; Wallace, Cambria; and Wayne, Salem; one daughter, Mrs. Winiferd Larson, Fullerton, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Alma Ziegler, Bonner Springs, Kansas.

Harvey was preceded in death by four sons, one brother and one sister.
