Pershing, IA – Services were held Wednesday for Kenneth “Dutch” Pyle, 88, of Pershing, who died of a heart ailment Sunday at Westridge Manor Nursing Home in Knoxville. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery there.
Mr. Pyle, who retired after 49 years as a coal miner, was born in Hynes and lived in Pershing most of his life.
He is survived by a son, Kenneth Jr. of Pershing; a daughter, Norma Toigo of Des Moines; a brother, Lyle of Knoxville; three sisters, June Little of Des Moines, Helen Sedlock of Waukesha, Wis., and Lucille Brom of Ottumwa; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Zion United Methodist Church. Arrangements were handled by Bybee and Davis Funeral Home.
