PELLA - Jeanette Van Dusseldorp, 86, of Pella, died Tuesday, July 30, in the Long Term Care Unit of Pella Regional Health Center.

Her funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Reformed Church in Pella, the Rev. Harvey A. Brink officiating. Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Pella. Memorials: "Back to God Hour" Christian radio ministry. Visiting hours at Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home in Pella are open today, with family present 6:30-8 p.m. today.

Jeanette Verschuure was born Oct. 28, 1915, to Peter and Adrejana Kleinendorst Verschuure on a farm east of Tracy. She attended Tracy Consolidated School. When she was 16 years old, the family moved to a farm near Otley, and the next year to Prairie City.

On Feb. 10, 1938, she married Simon Antony Van Dusseldorp at her parents' home near Prairie City. They farmed near Runnells and Monroe, and moved into Pella in December 1952. Jeanette was a homemaker, and worked part-time at In't Veld's Meat Market processing bologna. They retired in 1984, and later moved to Pella Manor.

Jeanette's health declined as a result of Parkinson's Disease and a stroke; she moved to the Long Term Care Unit at PRHC in 1994. Simon died Sept. 13, 2000.

Jeanette was a talented cook, baker and seamstress. She was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Pella, where she was active in the mission guild.

She is survived by three children and spouses: Phyllis and Howard Hugen of Boynton Beach, Fla., Joyce De Armond of Boca Raton, Fla., and Gerald and Janny Van Dusseldorp of Wheat Ridge, Colo.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Catherine Vander Wiel and Cornelia and Harry Tibboel, all of Pella; two sisters-in-law: Dena Van Mersbergen of Oskaloosa and Cornelia Verschuure of Pella; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five brothers, Andrew and Tunis Verschuure and three in infancy; and an infant sister.
