PELLA - Joezina Uitermarkt, 91, of Pella, died Friday, Aug. 9, at Westridge Nursing & Rehab Center in Knoxville.

Her funeral service was this morning, Aug. 12, at Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Pella. Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Pella. Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Pella was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Hospice of Pella.

Joezina Uitermarkt was born June 22, 1911, in Monroe. She lived many years in Pella, and previously had lived on farms near Runnells, Prairie City, Pella and Leighton. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed her family, and was an active member of Second Christian Reformed Church in Pella.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Edward L. and Minnie Uitermarkt and Andrew J. and Mary Ellen Uitermarkt, all of Pella; three grandchildren: Jerry, Floyd and Lloyd Uitermarkt; seven great-grandchildren: Doug, Jeff, Kristin, Maria, Ross, Brandt and Corinn; a great-great-grandson, Colten; and a sister, Dorothy Meindertsma of Pella.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Uitermarkt.
