TRACY – Kenneth Wayne Sneller, 61, of rural Tracy, died Saturday, May 4, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Tracy.

His funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Reformed Church in Pella. Burial: Sand Ridge Cemetery, rural Tracy. Visiting hours at Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Pella begin noon today, with family present 6:30-8 p.m. today. Memorials: Clay Township Fire and Rescue of Tracy.

Kenneth Wayne Sneller was born May 29, 1940, in rural Pella to Gerrit and Anabel Sneller. He was a farmer, and had lived 38 years on the farm southeast of Tracy. He had also lived on farms near Pella, Galesburg and Otley.

He was a member of Tracy United Methodist Church. He loved to hunt and spend time with his grandchildren, and was a willing helper in community work.

He married Mary Jane Poortinga on June 10, 1958, in Otley.

He is survived by his wife of rural Tracy; his parents of Pella; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Dan Toll of OÕFallon, Ill., and Dan and Missy Sneller of Tracy; two daughters and sons-in-law: Kathy and Jim Dickinson of Oskaloosa and Glenda and Kelly Carlson of Tracy; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a sister and brother-in-law: Bonnie and Don Vos of Oskaloosa.
