PELLA - Dorothy Evelyn Hogan, 82, of Pella, died Friday, Jan. 25, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Her memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Pella, Father Robert D. Gruss officiating. Burial: St. Michael's Cemetery, Bayport, Minn. Memorials: Hospice of Pella.

Dorothy Evelyn Hogan was born March 23, 1919, in Stillwater, Minn., to Robert James and Eleanor Dorothy Heiman Peters. She had lived 23 years in Pella. She was a waitress, retiring in 1980. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pella.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Jerry Dean and Cheryl D. Hogan of Grand Junction, Colo.; a brother, Bill Peters of Pella. three grandchildren: Karla Hogan, Melanie McPherson and Bodie Packham; three great-grandchildren: Courtney McPherson, Cody McPherson and Keelin Reder; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Oliver Hogan; and a sister, Catherine Crawford.
