Forest Glenn Reed, son of May and Freddie E. Reed was born in Tracy, Iowa, Sept. 6th, 1901, the day that President McKinley was assassinated. He passed away at the home of his parents near Tracy, Dec. 20th, 1925. He resided all his life in this vicinity, except one year in Wisconsin.
He was a member of Tracy Lodge No. 568 I.O.O.F. and Walnut Valley Rebecca lodge No. 329 of Tracy. He also was a member of Elim lodge No. 226 Orientals of Oskaloosa, Ia.
He attended the public school of Tracy having finished the 10th grade after which he decided on farming with his father, which occupation he followed until the present time. Glenn was a good and faithful boy to his father and mother, always willing to do his part and more if necessary. He was the joy and pride of his grandparents which he leaves to mourn his loss besides his parents and an only brother, Loren M. Reed whom he loved most dearly, and did everything possible for him.
He is survived by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Reed and Mrs. Isiac Lash, all who reside in Tracy. His grandfather Isiac Lash having passed away Nov. 16th, 1921.
He also leaves to mourn his demise a special friend, Miss Mable Vanderluiden beside several uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of friends.
