Services for William Arthur Bridges, 88, of Knoxville, who died Feb. 4, 1990 at Knoxville Area Community Hospital, were held Feb. 7, at Williams Funeral Home. Interment was in Indiana Chapel cemetery at Marion Co. Pallbearers were Eugene, Paul, and Ron Bridges, Doug Chambers, Ernest Rankin and Chris Ulrich. Mr. Bridges was born on Dec. *, 1901 at Attica, the son of Martin Thomas and Allie Flanagan Bridges. He graduated from Attica High school. On Oct. 20, 1926 he married Marie May. He moved to a farm near Columbia in 1952 and later in life he was employed by Lewis Security Systems in Des Moines and Pella. In 1973 he retired and went to Westridge Manor. He was preceded in death by his wife. He is survived by 2 sons Donald of LaMasa, Ca and Darwin of Des Moines. 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
