Funeral services for Korver Kara Hazelton, 15 months old, of Monroe were held October 4, 2002 at the Monroe Presbyterian Church in Monroe, Iowa., the Pastor Marvin Potter officiated. Music was provided by Nora DeReus, organist and Janice Davis, vocalist.

Interment was at the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe. Casket bearers were Al Hazelton, Ed Hazelton, Steve Simpson and Kenny Simpson. Honorary casket bearers were Shannon Hazelton, Brandon Hazelton and Rand Hazelton.

Korver Kara Hazelton, 15 month old daughter of Brian and Lorri (Simpson) Hazelton died Wednesday, October 2, 2002 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Korver is survived by her parents of Monroe; three brothers: Shannon, Brandon and Rand Hazelton of Monroe; her grandparents, Melvin and Ina Simpson of Monroe and Margaret Hazelton of Wellman; special grandparents, Einar and Lucia Nielsen of Battle Creek as well as aunts and uncles: Steve and Lu Anne Simpson, Terrie Simpson, Sherrie and Tom Mouw, Kenny and Danyale Simpson, Anita and Martin Eveleth, Ed and Sue Hazelton, Al and Brenda Hazelton, Donna and Gary Rowe, Karen and Cecil Bender, and Karla and Phil Mellenger and special aunts and uncles, Roger and Joan Nielsen and Randy and Cindy Nielsen; as well as special angels, Barb Nickelson and Lori Cole.

Arrangements were handled by Walters/Coburns Funeral Homes in Monroe.

Memorials may be made to PCM School, Variety Club of Iowa or the Presbyterian Church.
