Funeral services for Nellie Vander Hart, 88, of Pella, who died Feb. 29 were held March 4, at Covenant Reformed Church in Pella. Rev. Patrick Edouard, officiated the service with Rev. Gary Nibbelink conducting with Family Prayer Service. Jo Anne Nibbelink was the organist and John C. Roose the vocalist.

Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery in Pella with Rev. Gary Nibbelink, officiating. Casket bearers were Charles Vander Hart, Randall Vander Hart, Ernie Roose, Lawrence Roose, Case Vander Hart and Harry Vander Hart.

Nellie Helena Vander Hart was born Sept. 12, 1915 to Christoffel and Johanna Roose Vander Hart. Nellie attended the Ritter Country Grade School near Sully, and graduated from the Peoria Christian Grade School in Peoria. Nellie lived on the farm with her brother until 1960 when she went to live with her sister, Hilda J. Vander Hart, in Grand Rapids, Mich. Nellie and Hilda moved back to Pella in 1986. They continued to make their home together there and later moved into the Pella Manor and then Fair Haven East. Hilda passed away September 14, 1997.

Nellie is survived by her two brothers and their wives: Godern Vander Hart and his wife, Grada of Holland; John C. Vander Hart and his wife, Ruth of Pella; two nieces and two nephews along with their spouses; several great-nieces and great-nephews

Nellie was preceded in death by her parents: her father, Chris Vander Hart, her mother, Johanna Vander Hart, and her three sisters: Christina J. Vander Hart, Jennie C. Vander Hart, and Hilda J. Vander Hart.

For those desiring, memorials may be given for The Bible League.

Arrangements were made by Van Dyk Duven Funeral Home in Pella.
