Funeral services for Roger Van Norden, 60, of Pella, who died March 24 were held March 27, at Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Pella. Rev. Arthur J. Van Wolde and Rev. Sheldon Starkenburg officiated the service. Music was provided by Living Water Quartet.

Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery in Pella. Casket bearers were Dave Vander Pol, Ed Van Wyk, Wayne Van Dyk, Henry Wynja, Gary, Vander Wilt, Mark Roozeboom, Cliff Mulder, and Ray Veenstra.

Roger Van Norden, the son of Henry and Gertie (Van Geest) Van Norden, was born near Sully, on July 17, 1943. Roger attended Sully Christian Grade School and later Pella Christian High School.

On August 17, 1962, he married his high school sweetheart, Lenora Van Zee. He and Lenora made their home in Pella.

As a young man he worked for Vermeer Manufacturing and helped design the first large round bailer. He worked at Vermeer from 1961 -1971. In 1971, he and Lenora began farming in the Reasnor area.

He is survived by his wife, Lenora of Reasnor, a son Russ Van Norden and his wife Kathy of Pella, a daughter Carol and her husband Matt Schulte of Pella and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry.
