Funeral services for Bradley D. Van Dyk, 32 of Woodward, who died Monday morning, December 29, were held Jan. 2, at Chapel of Third Reformed Church in Pella. Suzanne Vogel, officiated at the services. Karen Bokhoven was organist and David Van Gorp was soloist.

Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery in Pella. Casket bearers were his uncles Roy Van Liere, Jack Vandermay, Al Medendorp, Jim Reurink, Marv Van Dyk, and Don Bloom. Ushers were Ken Steinberg and Glen Vander Werff.

Bradley was born on February 4, 1971 at Dell Rapids, South Dakota to Gerald Alvin and Jana Kay Ver Meer Van Dyk. Bradley was baptized at the Colton Christian Reformed Church in Colton, South Dakota by his maternal grandfather, Rev. Bud Ver Meer.

Bradley lived in his parents home unitl he was five years old when he became a resident in care facilities in South Dakota. In 1988 Bradley became a resident at the Woodward State Hospital and School in Woodward. He was very content there and graduated in 1992.

Bradley is survived by his parents Jerry (Obie) and Jana Van Dyk of Pella; his sister, Sarah and her husband Jesse Duinink; three neices and nephews; his maternal grandmother, Helene (Gosselink) Ver Meer all of Pella; along with several aunts and uncles and many cousins and special friends.

Bradley was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Rev. Bud Ver Meer; his paternal grandparents, Gerrit and Nellie

For those desiring, memorials may be given to the Woodward Resource Center at Woodward, Iowa to be designated for the caring environment or The National Alliance for Autism Research.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home in Pella.
