Funeral services for Larry Van Dusseldorp, 61, of Pella who died Feb. 13 were held Feb. 17 at First Baptist Church in Pella. Rev. John McNabb officiated the service. Lena Vandenberg was organist and Ted Dykstra was vocalist.

Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery in Leighton. Casket Bearers were Jeff Huffine, Mike Veenstra, Keith Hall, Steven Krehbiel, Greg Vandenberg and Zach Vandenberg.

Larry Van Dusseldorp, son of Simon Carl and Tressa (Slagter) Van Dusseldorp, was born May 25, 1942, in Leighton.

Larry lived most of his life in the Pella area and attended Pella Community High School. He became a self-employed truck driver in 1969 and continued in that business until the time of his death.

On Feb. 8, 1989, he was united in marriage with Michelle (Mikki) Vandenberg in Pella. While in the trucking industry he was leased to several companies. Mason & Dixon and A.D.S. were two of those companies.

He is survived by his wife; three children and their spouses, Brad and Marsha Van Dusseldorp of Pella; Brenda and Eric Sickels of Altoona; Mia and Jim Van Waardhuizen of Pella; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Carl J. and Sally Van Dusseldorp of Jackson, Mich.; one sister, Carolyn Dykstra of Pleasant Hill; and his nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and one son, Brian Van Dusseldorp.

Memorials may be made to The Larry Van Dusseldorp Memorial c/o Mikki Van Dusseldorp 140 Amsterdam Street, Pella.

Arrangements were made by Garden Chapel Funeral Home.
