Deborah Hoksbergen, daughter of Andrew and Mildred (Power) Hoksbergen, was born Sept. 10, 1948, in Pella. She passed away at her home of five years in Des Moines on Aug. 8 at the age of 55 years, ten months, and 29 days.

Hoksbergen attended Technical High School in Des Moines and taught at East High School for five years. She retired in 1994 from Allied Insurance, where she had worked for 19 1/2 years with data entry.

Hoksbergen is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Deanne Carr of Anita and Denise and Brent Stanton of Woodward; her sister and brother-in-law, Dee and Glenn Helm of Ankeny; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Mildred Hoksbergen.

Funeral services were Thursday at Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Pella with Reverend Bob Davis officiating.

Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery in Pella.

Memorials may be made to the Animal Rescue League.
