Funeral services for Christine H. Hackert, 90, of Sully, who died Feb. 3, were held Feb. 7, at the First Reformed Church in Sully.

Christine H. Hackert, daughter of Henry and Kate (De Heer) Ter Louw, was born February 13, 1913, in Pella. In her early childhood she attended Amsterdam School. Christine was a member of the First Reformed Church in Sully.

Christine was united in marriage with Carl Hackert at the home of Rev. Menning on Feb. 11, 1933. To this union six children were born: Lavonne, Kenneth, Karen, Jerry, Paul, and a son, Kenneth Wayne, who died in infancy. Following Carl's death, in 1989, Christine moved to Sully.

She is survived by her five children and their spouses: Forrest and Lavonne Van Wyk of Sully, Kenneth and Verna Hackert of Lynnville, Don and Karen Jansen of Grinnell, Jerry and Phyllis Hackert of Sully, Paul and Karen Hackert of Sully. She also leaves seventeen grandchildren and thirty-five great grandchildren; and her two brothers Apollas and Paul Ter Louw of Pella.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son; five brothers: Francis, Benjamin,Raymond, David, and William Ter Louw; one sister: Henrietta Schakel; two great-grandsons, Jett Kenneth Hackert and David Michael Ellerbe; a great-granddaughter, Angela Diane Hackert.

Memorials may be made to Billy Graham Ministries.

Funearl arrangements were handled by Garden Chapel Funearl Home in Pella.
