Funeral services for Marion Hol, 84 of rural Cedar were held Oct. 6, at Cedar Christian Reformed Church. The Rev. Timothy Van Lant officiated.

Burial was held at White Oak Cemetery, east of Oskaloosa .

Marion was born May 19, 1919 at Ijzendoorn, The Netherlands, the son of Willem Dirk and Maria van de Scheur Hol. He came to the United States with his parents and sister when he was 11 months old.

On June 23, 1943, he was united in marriage to Anna Van Der Molen at the home of her parents at rural Taintor. Following their marriage, they farmed east of Peoria, and later in 1955, they moved to a farm near Cedar, and Marion continued to farm right up to the time of his death.

He made his profession of faith at an early age at the Ebenezer Reformed Church at Leighton. He was a long time member of the Cedar Reformed Church,

He is survived by his wife, Anna of rural Cedar; 2 daughters: Mary Meinders of Leighton and Marlene and Carroll Ringelestein of Bloomington, Ill.; 5 sons: William and Laura Hol of Oskaloosa, Carroll and Judy Hol of Cedar, Anton and Carolyn Hol in South Africa, Gerald Hol of Oskaloosa, and Kenneth and Rosie Hol of New Sharon; 21 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law: Evert and Cora Hol of Pella; and 4 sisters: Nellie Wyngarden of Leighton, and Janet Vander Beek, Marie and Bert Beekhuizen, and Minnie and Henry Van Wyngarden, all of Pella.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in- law: Nick Meinders; 2 daughters-in-law: Barbara Hol and Gerda Hol; 2 infant brothers: Willem and Gerrit Hol; and 2 brothers-in-law: Elmer Wyngarden and Elmer Vander Beek.

Memorials may be made to the Anton and Carolyn Hol ministries.
