Graveside services for Evelyn Adams, 88, of Pella were held March 8 at Oakwood Cemetery in Pella. The Rev. John McNabb officiated and the service was prepared by Jennifer Floden.
Evelyn Leona King was born on July 20, 1914 in Swan. She was the oldest of seven children that were born to Jasper and Capitola Lewin King. She was raised in Swan, and received her formal education there, graduating from Swan High School with the class of 1932.
In March of 1933 she was united in marriage with Kirk Fuller and to this union two children were born: Darlene and Kirk, Jr. In 1937 they moved from Attica to the Wyatt Earp Home in Pella. Evelyn lived in her home at 225 East Third Street for the past 40 years. She worked for 30 years in the shipping department at the Pella Rolscreen Company. She was a former member of the Pleasantville Christian Church. Evelyn passed away on Tuesday, March 4, at the Pella Regional Hospital.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Jasper and Capitola King; her brothers, Guy and Clyde King; her sisters, Vera Clark, Irene Galvin, Betty Ruttan , Maxine Ward and her former husband, Homer Adams.
She is survived by her two children Darlene and her husband Don Rozenboom of Pella and Kirk Fuller Jr. and his wife Vi of Marlow, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren, and a special companion, her dog, Precious.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of Pella.
Arrangements were handled by Van Dyke-Duven Funeral Home in Pella.
