OBITUARY FOR MERL LEWIS PRICE From Knoxville Journal Express, Knoxville, Iowa

Funeral services for Merl Lewis Price, who died Jan. 19 at Collins Memorial Hospital, were held Jan. 22 from the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Officiating at the services were Pastor Rodger Bothell and Pastor Norman Rasmussen.

Music was provided by Mrs. Gordan M. Arnott, organist, and Dr. Gordon M. Arnott, vocalist.

Casket bearers were Raymond Karr, Frank Karr, Kenneth Sytsma, Kenneth Barz, Hugh Templeton, and Arthur Nichols.

Interment was in Ruckman Cmetery, Marion county, Ia.

Merl L. Price was born on August 27 1908 near Otley, the son of Robert L. and Mary Baltimore Price.

On September 27, 1933 he was untied in marriage to Cecil Karr. He lived his entire lfe in Marion county.

Merl's lifework was sawmill and gravel work in the Red Rock area where he worked with his father for many years.

Merl joined the Seventh Day Adventist Church in 1942 and remained a member until his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Survivors include his wife, Cecil; one brother, Edwin Price of Anaheim Calif; and his step mother, Mrs. Edna Price of Knoxville.
