Obituary of Corda Karr- from the Knoxville Journal-Express

Funeral services for Corda Karr, who died Jan. 24, at Collins Memorial Hospital, were held Jan. 27 from Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul P. Kniess officiating. Burial was in Red Rock Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Leland Karr, Herman Karr, Lloyd Karr, Bill Karr, Charles Smith and Franklin DeJong. Mrs. Helen Sutherland, organist, accompanied Mrs. Lavinia Wright, soloist.

Corda Alroy, son of Matthew and Polly Karr, was born May 19, 1879 at Stafford, Kan. He came to Iowa when a child and grew to manhood in the Red Rock-Fifield area. He spent his life farming in Iowa and Texas. He helped build the Red Rock Church of which he was a member. He was united in marriage to Mary Ford on March 6, 1903. His parents; wife; one son, Worth; three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Surviving are one daughter Mrs. Ben (Bessie) Hoeksema; two sons, Frank and Raymond; one brother, Fred; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
