Obituary from the Knoxville Journal April 21, 1990

Services for Cora Jane Karr, 99, of Knoxville, who died April 19, 1990 at Griffin Nursing Center, were held April 13, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Bybee and Davis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Interment was in Ruckman Cemetery.

Rev. Keith Noll officiated at the services. Music was provided by Joan Amott, organist, and Gordon Arnott, soloist.

Pallbearers were Frank and Leland Karr, Bob DeGoey, Earl Hodgson, Harold Wolf and Dwight Orr.

Mrs. Karr was born on Sept. 12, 1890 at Chama in the territory of New Mexico, the daughter of Samuel and Mary E. Harritt Teter.

On March 16, 1910, she married Burt Karr in Marion county. They farmed north of Knoxville in Union Township.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1962; her parents; two sons, Harold and Norman; two brothers; four sisters; and two sons-in-law, Merl Price and Charles Hodgson.

She is survived by two daughters, Cecil Price and Roberta Hodgson, both of Knoxville; one son Lloyd, of Knoxville; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials have been established to the Seventh Day Adventist Church and the Knoxville Rescue Unit.
