America Craddick Tucker, the daughter of John and Keziah Craddick, was born in
Green Castle, Indiana Jan. 7, 1843. When 6 years old she came to Iowa with her
parents. the family first resided in Pleasantville, then removed to red rock and then
to Knoxille in the early day.
Mrs. Tucker attended school in knoxville and after finishing school she taught in
the system her self.
she was united in marriage with Levi Tucker March 26, 1873. to this union five children
were born. she is preceded in death by her husband who died feb. 14, 1926 and by 2 of
her children. she united with the Presbyterian church of Knoxville in 1865 and has been a
member longer than anyone at the day of her death. Mrs Tucker passed to her eternal reward
Jan. 5, 1929. she is survived by 2 daughters, Miss Cora of Knoxville, Mrs. Sue Federson of Poison, Montana and one son W.W. Tucker of Knoxville and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held
at the home on tuesday interment at Graceland
