Graveside services for Joann Elaine Wickliff, 66, of Knoxville, who died on Wednesday, September 6, 2000 at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital, were held on Saturday, September 9 at Greenwood Cemetery in rural Marion County. Rev. Peter J. Peterson officiated at the services.

Joann was born on June 3, 1934 in Knoxville, the daughter of Adda May Curtis and Ernie Lawson Wickliff.

Joann loved to embroidery and was quite accomplished. She enjoyed listening to music and singing. She was also fond of horses.

She was at the Christian Opportunity Center in Pella for over 19 years where she was employed in their workshop. Due to poor health she moved to the Griffin Nursing Center about four years ago.

Joann was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and two sisters.

She is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Don and Mary Jo Wickliff of Knoxville; one sister-in-law, Mabel Wickliff of Fayetteville, Ark.; three nieces, Pam Wickliff-Lane of Knoxville, Marjorie Wickliff of California, and Marilyn Axum of Texas; one nephew, James Wickliff of Fayetteville, Ark. as well as other relatives and friends.
