Funeral services for Lloyd Robert Tremain, 79, of Knoxville, who died February 15, 2000, at the Pella Regional Hospital due to cancer, were held February 18 at Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville.

Rev. Clayton W. Sugg and Rev. Soren Flessen officiated at the services. Music was provided by organist Darlene Mooberry.

Graveside services were held February 21 at Hustler Cemetery near New Lisbon, Wisconsin.

Lloyd was born October 29, 1920, the son of Amelia Johnson and William Robert Tremain in Clifton, Wisconsin.

Lloyd entered the US Army Air Corp and served from 1942 to 1945 as a staff sergeant. He served in the US Army Reserve from 1960 to 1981 and retired as a Captain. Lloyd had tours of duty throughout the US and Germany. He was employed at AAFES (Army and Air Force Exchange Services). He retired after approximately 23 years of service.

He was united in marriage to Lily May Fairchild on August 19, 1957 in Miami, Oklahoma.

He was an avid bowler and an active member of the VFW and American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Lily May.

He is survived by two daughters, Toni Skurauskis, Naperville, Illinois and Pat Miller of Stoutland, Missouri, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a dear friend, Nadine Wochner of Dallas.

Arrangements were made by Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville.
