Graveside service for Edith Mae Tubbs, 93, of Knoxville, who died on Monday, December 4, 2000, at Griffin Nursing Center, were held on Wednesday, December 6, at Coal Ridge Cemetery. Rev. Nicholas Tubbs officiated at the services.

Edith was born on February 8, 1907 in the Coal Ridge area in Marion County, the daughter of Clarence Fleming Blackman and Belle (Woodyard) Blackman. She was raised in the Knoxville area.

After her marriage to Elmer Theodore (Ted) Tubbs they farmed in the Coal Ridge area and she had worked as a bookkeeper at the National Bank in Knoxville.

Edith was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers and five sisters.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas and Marty Tubbs of Aurora, Neb.; four grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

Arrangements were made by Bybee & Davis Funeral Home.
