Funeral services for Doris May Parker, 58, of Des Moines, who died on Sunday, October 29, 2000, at Metropolitan Medical Center in Des Moines, were held on Thursday, November 2, at Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines.

Interment was at Bellfountain Cemetery in Tracy.

Doris was born in Bussey to James and Pearl (McCombs) Parker. She attended Hamilton Grade School and graduated from Lovilia High School in 1960.

She worked at Continental Manufacturing Co. in Knoxville, before moving to Des Moines in 1969 where she worked for the State of Iowa until retirement in 1996.

She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Bill Maxwell; a nephew, James Maxwell and niece, Angela Maxwell; three great nieces and one great nephew.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Arrangements were made by Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines.
