Funeral services for Gladys "Dolly" Force, 71, of Bussey, who died on Sunday, September 17, 2000 at the Pella Regional Health Center, were held on Wednesday, September 20, at the Gilbert-Nordstrom Funeral Home in Bussey. Rev. Paul Hughes officiated at the services.

Interment was at Greenlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were Denny Reed, John Cox, Tim Cox, Danny Force, Steve Sandegren and Tim Feagins.

Gladys was born on June 28, 1929 in Brekenridge, Minn., the daughter of Charles and Theresa Rheam Fletcher.

Gladys married Elmer Dale Force in Bentonville, Ark. on September 4, 1951. She was a homemaker and had worked for Chamberlin Manufacturing.

She was a member of the Women's Legion Auxiliary of Bussey.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, and one sister.

She is survived by two sons, James of Attica and Charles of Bussey; two grandchildren; and one brother, Leo Fletcher of Worchester, Mass.

Memorials may be made to Bussey Public Library.

Arrangements were made by Gilbert-Nordstrom Funeral Home.
