Funeral services for Hilda Irene Bunnell, 91, of Knoxville, formerly of Oskaloosa, who died on Tuesday, October 31, 2000, at the West Ridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Knoxville, will be held on Friday, November 3, at the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa. Rev. Max Johnson will officiate at the services.

Interment will be at the Breckenridge Cemetery near Knoxville.

Hilda was born on March 16, 1909, in Durham, the daughter of Louie and Hester Mae Van Alst Beaver.

She worked behind the food counter at the old SS Kresge Co. in Oskaloosa for several years.

She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary, and the Lady Eagles.

Hilda was preceded in death by one son, Donovan Billings; three sisters, Faye Miller and Dorothy and Josephine Beaver; and two brothers, Tommy and Bob Beaver.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Faith Billings of Hephzibah, Ga.; six grandchildren; several grandchildren; one sister, Fern Hegwood of Oskaloosa; and a brother and sister-in-law, Clifford and Leta Beaver of Ottumwa.

Arrangements were made by Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa.
