Memorial services for Marcella Katherin Caulkins, 79, of Mesa, Ariz., who died on Monday, December 11, 2000, at the Neeley Hospice House in Gilbert, Ariz., were held on Saturday, December 16, at Williams Funeral Home. Rev. Darrel Swafford officiated at the services. Darlene Mooberry was organist.

Interment was at Hamilton Cemetery. Casketbearers were Richard DeHeer, Brian Powell, James Saltzman, Bob White, Ed White, and Lonnie White.

Marcella was born on September 20, 1921, in Buxton, the daughter of Dora Walters and Frank White. She attended rural schools in the area.

She was married to Lester "Bud" Ben Caulkins. Marcella and Bud farmed together for many years. Marcella also worked at the local overall factory. Marcella and Bud moved to Mesa, Ariz. about 30 years ago.

Marcella is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Richard Buck of Mesa, Ariz.; a brother, Lloyd White of Monroe; a sister, Edna Saltzman of Altoona; six sisters-in-law, Opal DeHeer of Monroe, Roberta White of Newton, Alberta Viers of Swan, Pauline White of Reasnor, Dorothy White of Clarksville, Ark., and Wilma Van Ryswyk of Knoxville and well as many other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa or the Neeley Hospice House of Gilbert, Ariz.

Arrangements were made by Williams Funeral Home.
